All Van Buck ties are a minimum of 145cm or 57 inches long, this is around 5cm or 2 inches longer than the average tie 2 years ago.
Currently we are producing a tie width of 8.5cm or 3.25 inches at the widest point on the main blade. The width of the tie is changable with fashion, only 4 years ago tie widths for the majority of ties was 2cm or nearly 1 inch wider than it is today.
We also manufacture a slimmer tie which is only 6cm or 2 3/8 inches wide, again this is a fashion style at the moment, particularly with plain ties.
We are able to produce a longer tie, but this has to be specially made by hand at our factory and not all designs and fabrics are available to be made longer. All Van Buck ready made Bows are fully banded so they can be worn with a wing collar shirt and give the apperance of a traditional self-tie bow. The adjustable band is made with an anchor and loop and is 2cm or 3/4 inch wide and adjusts from a 14.5 inch neck to 22 inch neck.
